From spreadsheets and paper to one platform
Manufacturing and distribution company in Ecuador
Warehouse reception went from chaos to scheduled, and production got real-time data instead of end-of-shift totals.
- Before
- Information was spread across Excel files, the ERP (SAP Business One) and an internal database. Reports were made by hand, machine output was written on paper at the end of each shift, and warehouse deliveries arrived with no schedule.
- What we built
- One web platform where each department logs in and sees what it needs. It has four parts:
- A portal where suppliers check their purchase orders and what they still owe, and book a delivery slot at a specific warehouse. The confirmation arrives by email.
- Live machine monitoring. Each machine sends data every second, day and night, and managers see what it's producing and how long it's been stopped, with an alert when one stops.
- Dashboards for sales, stock and critical items that update themselves.
- A WhatsApp bot that managers ask for today's sales, what's running out or which orders are due. The answer comes straight from the database.
